Botox Therapy has many uses in everyday dentistry. Often, when using botox to treat dental conditions such as TMJ pain, muscle spasm, bruxation therapy, esthetic lip repositioning & smile contour, and treatment of associated migraines, some facial wrinkles are unavoidably eliminated.

In clinical trials at day 7, 74% (299/405) of people demonstrated none or mild glabellar line severity at maximum frown as compared to 6% (8/132) in placebo; at day 30, 80% (325/405) of people demonstrated the same as compared to 3% (4/132) in placebo.1

Side effects associated with the injection include localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/ bruising.1

Restylane

The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L. These products can be used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane and Restylane-L may also be used for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years. Ask your doctor which is right for you.
